Abandoned Home in Holt, Alabama Destroyed in Friday Fire
A reportedly abandoned home in Holt was destroyed by a fire Friday morning.
Details about the blaze are still sparse, but the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue service sent around a half dozen units to Northeast Coke Avenue in Holt just after noon on reports of a structure fire with a home there fully engulfed in flames.
The fire has been extinguished and was under control shortly after 1 p.m., but the home involved was totally destroyed.
As of 1:45 Friday afternoon, there is no indication anyone was inside the house when it went up in flames.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire, which will be investigated by the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue service. A separate woods fire reported Friday on Bone Camp Road in northern Tuscaloosa County is also under control without injuries or structure damage.
