Fast-Growing Specialty Pet Store Opens in Tuscaloosa’s Midtown Village
A fast-growing specialty pet store is now open in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village, where many new restaurants and retailers are coming online.
A spokesperson for Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors, the company that operates the shopping center, said the new Hollywood Feed officially opened on Monday and offers high-quality food, treats, toys and wellness products for the community's animal companions.
“We are thrilled to bring Hollywood Feed to Midtown Village and to the Tuscaloosa community,” said Alex Conner, a leasing agent at Crawford Square.

The brand was launched as a standalone Memphis store more than 70 years ago and had grown to three locations in 2006 when a family purchased it with a plan to see it grow. Now they are approaching 200 Hollywood Feed stores, including a handful in other Alabama cities like Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile.
They're known for their natural, holistic, and healthy products, as well as their well-informed staff who can advise shoppers on solutions for the unique needs of each pet. They'll also offer grooming tools and products, leashes, collars, and other animal-oriented merchandise.
The new store opened just days after Midtown's new Bath & Body Works, which launched this weekend in an ample space meant to supplement, not replace, the existing University Mall store.
El Agave is also expected to open soon in the former Buffalo's Cafe location.
