New Bath & Body Works Opens in Tuscaloosa’s Midtown Village Saturday
Tuscaloosa's second Bath & Body Works store is set to open this weekend in its Midtown Village shopping center, the cosmetics and candles store has announced.
As the Thread reported earlier this year, there is already a location in the nearby University Mall, but an employee there said the Midtown store will supplement it, not replace it.

On Friday, a company spokesperson sent a press release saying the new store will open tomorrow, Saturday the 18th, in Midtown.
The new Bath & Body Works is about 3,500 square feet, and the company said it will feature elements from their latest store design, which they call Gingham+, already featured in more than a dozen other stores in Los Angeles, Texas, South Korea and elsewhere.
The layout prioritizes technology, such as videos that help customers learn more about new products and fragrances, and features larger aisles to provide more shopping space.
“As a global leader in fragrance, we’re proud to offer a one-of-a-kind shopping experience and a wide selection of the highest quality products at the right price points for our customers,” says Ron Ford, Bath & Body Works Chief Stores Officer. “Our outstanding store associates are key to delivering the immersive and convenient experience we know our customers love, and our brick-and-mortar footprint remains a successful component of our ongoing strategy.”
