The long-awaited Second Avenue Overpass is open to pedestrians and drivers alike in the Druid City.

The bridge, pictured below, connects 15th Street to Bryant Drive and allows drivers and students at the University of Alabama a chance to reduce their commute times, as the overpass gives them the opportunity to avoid the dreaded train delay.

The overpass features plenty of space for walkers, runners, and bikers and is illuminated by series of decorative lamp posts. The overpass, which serves as a path to the south side of the University of Alabama campus, also showcases script 'A's' in its concrete.
