Fire Contained at AmeriGas Propane in Bibb County’s Centreville

A fire at AmeriGas Propane in the city of Centreville in neighboring Bibb County has been contained, city officials said Friday afternoon.

Spokespeople for the city took to social media at 2:30 p.m. Friday and said there was a fire at AmeriGas in Centreville and asked people to stay out of the area while it was brought under control.

A 3:45 p.m. update said the fire was contained and no injuries have been reported.

"Thanks to our first responders Centreville and Brent Police Centreville Brent Brierfield Fire department for responding so quickly," the city said on Facebook.
