The Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission has begun work to widen and beautify Jack Warner Parkway and Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.

Lane restrictions have already been in place, and the City of Tuscaloosa announced Tuesday the closure of Jack Warner Parkway and Martin Luther King Boulevard will last through Monday, August 2nd.

Drivers will need to seek an alternate route while work is underway, and a map of the closures can be viewed HERE.

The construction is part of a $32 million dollar plan to upgrade Tuscaloosa's West End and is expected to take two years to complete.
