Chilly Fall Air Set to Arrive in Tuscaloosa, Alabama This Weekend
Cooler temperatures are set to arrive in West Alabama as the calendar marks the official start of fall this Wednesday.
"The coolest air so far this season rolls into the Deep South [tomorrow]," said ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist James Spann.
"Morning lows will dip into the 40s in many places early Thursday and Friday morning; you might even need a light jacket or sweater," Spann added.
Will this autumnal change stick around for Friday and Saturday?
"Look for picture perfect fall weather Thursday through the weekend with sunny pleasant days and clear cool nights," Spann said.
This is good news for football fans, as highs will be in the mid-70's Friday with temperatures falling into the 60's by the time the whistle blows for high school football games.
Weather looks ideal for Alabama Crimson Tide fans Saturday, with sunny skies and highs near 79. Bama fans may need to bring a sweater to Bryant-Denny for the Tide's game against Southern Miss, as temperatures will fall into the 60s by the time the game ends.
