Brenda Lois Smith Montgomery (December 30th, 1949 – December 10th, 2025)

Brenda Lois Smith Montgomery, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at Northport Medical Center, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North, with Pastor Jonathan Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Marshall Smith and Evie Cooley Smith; her infant daughter; her brothers, Clyde Smith Jr., Jessie Smith, and Marshall 'Peewee' Smith; and her stepsons, Brian Montgomery and Tracy Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Montgomery; daughter, Lisa Eady; son, Jeff Hoggle (Donna); nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Brenda had a servant's heart, always slow to speak, but quick to listen. She retired from the Mary Stark Harper Center at Bryce Hospital. She met the love of her life, Jerry, in 1992. They married in April 1993 and were married for 32 wonderful years. She loved her people at Christ Harbor Church and especially the Kingdom Girls Women's Group.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hendrix, Justin Hendrix, Garrett Corley, Coty Hoggle, Austin Hoggle, and Neil Hobson.

Honorary pallbearers are Northport DCH ICU unit, Christ Harbor Church, and many, many camping friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Life Outreach International, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Hospice of West Alabama.
