Former Alabama and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClaim was reportedly involved in an altercation at a Cullman Middle School basketball game last night as reported by the Cullman Daily.

Coaches at Whitesburg High School are reportedly filing a report with Cullman Police about the incident. They claim the 36-year-old McClain allegedly attempted to fight two of the Whitesburg coaches in the parking lot. However, the first arriving Cullman PD officer on the scene reported he did not witness an altercation.

The situation elevated to the point that Whitesburg forfeited the scheduled game, citing concerns with officiating as their reasoning.

No further information has been made available and at this time no arrest has been reported.

This not the first time the former college and pro star has had a run-in. In 2023 he allegedly yelled obscenities at Decatur police officers as they were trying to disperse a large crowd of more than 700 people at a local park after they responded to calls about a fight.

A DPD report stated when they informed McClain, he would be arrested he began to struggle against officers. He was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest according to police records.

In 2022 McClain was convicted of four misdemeanors -- reckless endangerment, menacing, third-degree assault and firing a gun in the city limits in his hometown of Decatur -- but he appealed the verdict, and the charges were dropped when the accuser told prosecutors he no longer wanted to pursue the case.

McClain served a two-game suspension when he was playing for the then Oakland Raiders for conduct detrimental to the team.

He also had other brushes with the law in 2013 for violation of the vehicle window tint code, providing false information to police, possession of marijuana in 2017 and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Coming out of Decatur High School, McClain was listed as the No. 2 inside linebacker in the nation in 2007. He chose Alabama over offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Louisville.

While playing for the Tide in 2009, McClain was the winner of the 2009 Lambert Award for the best collegiate linebacker. A day later, he was also awarded the 2009 Dick Butkus Award,

Forgoing his senior season in Tuscaloosa he entered the NFL draft, playing three years for the Raiders and two for the Cowboys.
