The project was awarded to S.T. Bunn Construction company at $6.51 million, and will concentrate on the two-mile stretch from near Exit 71 to near Exit 73 to improve mobility and safety.

The nighttime project is expected to begin this week and will last until Fall 2022, weather permitting.

Two lanes will be open in each direction at all times outside of 8 p.m. and 5 p.m.
