Alabama Hoops Has Saturday Tip-off Adjusted
The Alabama Crimson Tide is on the verge of clinching its first SEC regular season championship in men's basketball since 2002. The Tide could secure the title tonight against the No. 20 Arkansas Razorbacks on the road. However if Alabama is unable to slow down the Razorbacks six-game winning streak the Tide could clinch the title in Starkville on Saturday.
Alabama's road trip to Mississippi State will now tip-off on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the SECNetwork due to the SEC having to postpone the Texas A&M at Missouri basketball game. Texas A&M is still dealing with COVID-19 contact tracing which has caused the Aggies to miss a number of games.
Alabama beat both Arkansas and Mississippi State in its first meetings. The Tide will attempt to wrap up the SEC championship and consider its need for potential rest through the regular season.
Head coach Nate Oats did recently indicate that his roster is becoming closer and closer to full strength as several players nursing injuries are on the verge of full recovery.
Should the Crimson Tide secure the SEC regular season championship it would be Alabama's first in 19 years. Alabama would secure the No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament and would look to win it for the first time since 1991.
Alabama will take on Arkansas at 8:00 p.m. CT tonight on ESPN2 and the Tide will play Mississippi State on Saturday now at 5:00 p.m. CT on SECNetwork.
