Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray Allen says the accident occurred sometime after 6 a.m. near the intersection of 25th Avenue and University Boulevard.

Three cars were involved in the wreck, and at least one woman was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

UPDATE (8:11 a.m.): Allen reports University Boulevard at 25th Avenue is now CLOSED while emergency crews clean the scene of the accident. Drivers must take Veterans Memorial or Jack Warner Parkway as an alternate route.
