The accident, which involved at least two vehicles, took place at the intersection of Canterbury Road and Old Greensboro Road near the Grand at Rum Creek apartment complex.

Taylor said Chevy Malibu turning left onto Canterbury Road from Old Greensboro was struck by an oncoming Dodge Ram and two boys, 12 and 14, were hurt in the accident. Taylor said because of their young age and the injuries they suffered, both were ultimately flown to Children's of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, but said they are expected to survive.
