The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for parts of Central Alabama, including the southwestern portions for today and tonight. A system entering our state will be produced widespread showers and thunderstorms across Central Alabama, with a probable threat of localized flooding.

This means there is the chance for rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts of 3 inches. Areas with poor drainage may potentially experience minor flooding in addition to isolated flash flooding today through tonight.
