A Walker County teen has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Curry earlier this week.

The Walker County Sheriff's Office responded to an assault on Drummond-Cutoff Road in the Curry area Monday, November 23rd. Their investigation revealed that at some point during the assault, a juvenile was stabbed.

The victim, a minor whose name has not been released, was transported to Birmingham for medical care and listed in serious condition.

17-year-old Colby Jake Pierce of Jasper was arrested on Tuesday, November 24th. Pierce was arrested as a juvenile but has now been charged as an adult. Pierce was booked into the Walker County Jail on charges of attempted murder. The Walker County Sheriff's Office says Pierce is awaiting an initial appearance hearing.
