Danielle Kimbrough, Community Development and Public Relations Coordinator, tells the Tuscaloosa Thread crews are working to restore 800 outages within the county.

"The majority of [these outages] are in the Moundville and Brookwood areas," she said.

Statewide, 61,000 were without power following a severe weather outbreak that spawned multiple tornadoes yesterday. Alabama Power crews immediately responded to these outages and expect to restore power to the remaining 6,700 without service by the end of the day.
