Two people were robbed on the campus of the University of Alabama between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning just days after three victims were robbed there Saturday.

According to a new alert sent by the University of Alabama Police Department, the two robberies took place on or near the Strip.

In the first report, the victim said he was followed out of a bar on University Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and punched from behind as he passed near the Walk of Champions and Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The victim said either two or three people robbed him before fleeing the area on foot, back towards the Strip.

The only details the police were able to provide about the suspects is that two of them were Black males and that one was reportedly wearing a blue tie-dyed hoodie and the other had on a white T-Shirt.

Another victim also contacted UAPD and said they were robbed in the parking lot of the Publix Super Market at University Town Center. They did not specify and exact time except that the incident occurred in the overnight hours between Tuesday and Wednesday.

In that case, the victim said a single white male robbed them before leaving the area in a black car.

The incidents follow three robberies that were reported on campus early Saturday morning, which resulted in two arrests later the same day.

No further details on the new cases were immediately available. Stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread for more updates if and when they are made public.
