Three victims were robbed by several men wearing ski masks on the University of Alabama campus early Saturday morning, according to area police.

In an alert sent to students and faculty Saturday morning, the University of Alabama Police Department said officers responded to reports of three separate robberies on campus, the first of which came in around 12:30 a.m.

The first victim told investigators that they were in the area of the Lakeside East residence hal when they accepted a ride from a small group of people in a four-door Honda Accord.

When they arrived at their destination, the victim was robbed of personal property as they left the vehicle.

A second victim reported a similar robbery near the Lakeside Dining Hall on McCorvey Drive and a third person was allegedly robbed around the nearby Ridgecrest dorm buildings.

None of the three victims were injured, and police said they do not believe there is an active threat to the campus community Saturday morning.

Police said the vehicle involved in the robbery was described as a light colored 4-door Honda Accord with no license tag and three or four people inside.

One suspect was described as a roughly college-aged black male wearing a blue hoodie with a tie-dyed pattern, but police were unable to provide an estimation of his height, weight or hairstyle.

The second and third suspects were described only as black men who were both wearing ski masks, one of who was in a "blue fatigue puffer jacket."

Anyone who has any additional information about these robberies is urged to call the University Police department at 205-348-5454.
