Tuscaloosa Teen Charged After Robbing Woman at Gunpoint
An 18-year-old Tuscaloosa resident was arrested after allegedly robbing a couple at gunpoint in late October.
The incident took place Thursday, October 28, on Rice Mine Road in Tuscaloosa at approximately 1:19 a.m. Two black men reportedly ran up to a woman and man, and proceeded point a handgun at them.
The suspects separated the two, and told them to "give them everything they had or they would kill them." According to court documents, the man stated that one of the suspects told him "not to make them shoot him."
The woman told police the suspects took her purse, which contained her car keys and other personal effects. A witness positively identified Jermaine Keymonta Wallace, 18, as one of the suspects that robbed the couple.
Wallace, a Tuscaloosa resident, was arrested and charged with three counts first degree robbery Sunday.
