Tuscaloosa Man Charged With Attempted Murder for Tuesday Shooting
Police have arrested a Tuscaloosa man and charged him with attempted murder after he allegedly shot another local late Tuesday night at a gas station on the west side.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said officers were called to the gas station at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 15th Street at about 10:30 Tuesday night.

They found a 29-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, but Sellers said the victim was hospitalized, treated and is considered in stable condition.
The VCU identified a suspect, 29-year-old Jermaine Lockett, and took him into custody quickly. Sellers said the two men had issues in the past and their bad blood is likely motive for the shooting.
Sellers said Lockett has been charged with Attempted Murder, tampering with physical evidence and illegally possessing a firearm.
Lockett is in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, and a judge has not yet set bond in this case.
