A long, divisive Presidential campaign season has wrapped up and America went to the polls on Tuesday.

Of course, great attention will be paid to the Presidential election, but coverage of that event will be handled by the national reporting team at our parent company, Townsquare Media, and the Thread will focus instead on the few contested local races in Tuscaloosa County.

We're at the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office Beasor Walker Law Enforcement Complex watching results come in as they are received from the county's 54 polling places and tabulated here, plus another box of provisional ballots and one for absentee votes.
