Vote Daily to Help Tuscaloosa Win Best College Sports Town Award

Tuscaloosa has been nominated for USA TODAY Sports' Best College Sports Town award, and residents can vote daily to help the city crack the top 10.

Selected by a panel of USA TODAY editors and subject matter experts, the annual Readers' Choice Award recognizes destinations that deliver exceptional college sports experiences and traditions.

Voting opened today and runs through 11:59 a.m. EDT on Monday, August 17. The top 10 winners will be announced on August 26.

Kelsey Rush, president and CEO of Visit Tuscaloosa, said the nomination reflects what makes the city a destination beyond game day.

"College sports are woven into the fabric of Tuscaloosa, and we are honored to be recognized by USA TODAY Sports alongside some of the nation's premier college towns," Rush said. "Game days here are more than football. They bring our entire community together while introducing visitors to our local restaurants, entertainment, arts and culture, and Southern hospitality."
