The Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service responded to an apartment fire within the Druid City that sent one person to the hospital Sunday.

Units from TFR were called to East 33rd Street yesterday and were able to extinguish the fire. One person was sent to DCH for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time, and no further details are available.
