Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is officially ready to open its doors, and the Tuscaloosa community is invited to join in on the festivities.

The Baton Rouge-based sports restaurant and bar erected its fourth Alabama location in Tuscaloosa Plaza on Skyland Boulevard. The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will be in attendance for a formal ribbon-cutting on Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m.

At the grand opening, locals will have a chance to win free Walk-On's for a year. Those in attendance can enter a drawing at the Tuscaloosa location, or through the restaurant's Facebook page.

“We are thrilled to bring Walk-On’s to Tuscaloosa,” said Franchisee Shane Morrison in a Monday press release. “There’s nothing like our authentic, mouthwatering Cajun cuisine in the area, so I’m confident that Walk-On’s will be a hit. Plus, our game-day atmosphere is perfect for cheering on the Crimson Tide. We’ve hired 200 winning All-American team members and we can’t wait to celebrate our grand opening with everyone next week. Roll Tide!”

The drawing will accept entries for the first month of business, concluding the month of June with a winner announcement the week of the 28th.

The restaurant's official hours will be as follows:

  • Sunday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Friday through Saturday: 11 a.m. to midnight

Walk-On's specializes in Cajun-inspired gameday fare, including fan favorites like "Crawfish Etouffee, Duck & Andouille Gumbo and Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding." For more information on Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, click here to visit their website.
