Tuscaloosa’s Second 7 Brew Coffee Coming Soon to Skyland Boulevard
A wildly popular coffee "stand" is gearing up to open a second location in Tuscaloosa, and we're pleased to report this one isn't opening on 15th Street.
As the Thread shared previously, the city's first 7 Brew opened next to Jimmy John's on 15th Street last July, and if the size of the lines there most days is any indication, business is good,
On Wednesday, Tuscaloosa City Councilman Cassius Lanier said the Arkansas-based coffee company will soon open a new location on Skyland Boulevard in District 7, which he represents.

Later on Wednesday, Lanier told the Thread the new 7 Brew will come to the Spiller complex on Skyland Boulevard, in front of the parking lot of the now-closed Dirt Cheap.
"I am dedicated to economic growth and development in District 7," Lanier said. "Collaborations with private developers and national franchises along with the mayor, fellow council members, and the best city staff a guy could ask for ensures District 7 will be a beacon of light in Tuscaloosa."
Judging by the construction speed of the 15th Street location, residents of the District won't have to wait long for the new store to open - a brand spokesperson told the Thread a new "stand" takes between four and six weeks to get built after a site is identified, and they usually open for business soon after.
The first shop was announced in May 2024 and was serving drinks in July.
The brand strives to serve "premium coffee in record time" and says between their base drinks and a variety of syrups and other flavor options, there are more than 20,000 unique drinks to try at the coffee stand.
In addition to hot, ice, and frozen coffee, 7 Brew offers their own carbonated energy drinks with and without sugar, flavored sparkling waters, teas and lemonade, smoothies and shakes.
