Noah Clowney, a 4-star power forward from Roebuck, South Carolina, announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide Monday, giving Nate Oats a clean sweep of the day.

Clowney, who stands 6-foot-9 and 205lbs from Dorman High School, is listed as the 9th power forward and 62nd in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He's the third commit of the 2022 class and brings Alabama to the No. 10 spot in the national rankings, according to 247Sports.

“I didn’t think I was going to Bama, going into the visit," Clowney told Joe Tipton of On3. "So I get there and they showed me a lot that I didn’t see before. The visit itself was really good but I wasn’t going to just let the visit persuade me into going."

Clowney said he watched film of the Crimson Tide and his research made him most comfortable with the Crimson Tide.

Clowney told On3 he expects the blazing-fast offense in Tuscaloosa to allow him to put his shooting prowess on display.

"A long and wiry frontcourt player, Clowney can really run the floor, plays above the rim in traffic, blocks shots and he's showed much improved shooting touch and ability to take opposing defenders off the dribble..." 247Sports' Eric Bossi said in his scouting report of the prospect.
