Former Yea Alabama Content Director Pleads Guilty to Misdemeanor Charge of Soliciting Prostitution

Former Yea Alabama content director, Aaron Suttles, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of soliciting prostitution on August 31, according to documents from Shelby County District Court on Wednesday morning.

According to court documents, Suttles was fined $200 and sentenced to 365 days in Shelby County Jail, but the sentence was suspended for two years. Suttles will be supervised under the Shelby County Community Corrections program while serving his two-year probation.

Suttles was charged with a Class A misdemeanor of soliciting prostitution in a Shelby County prostitution sting after being arrested in July as one of 15 people arrested in the operation. He was originally released on a $1,000 bond. Two days later, Suttles was arrested again in Shelby County on a DUI charge, violating his court-ordered bond and resulting in him being held without bond. Suttles surrendered to the jail on August 20 after learning of the revocation of his bond.

Suttles previously worked for the Tuscaloosa News and The Athletic, covering Alabama Crimson Tide football before becoming the content director for Yea Alabama, the Crimson Tide's name, image, and likeness collective.
