One teenager is dead and another was hurt in a single-vehicle wreck in Tuscaloosa County Tuesday.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, confirmed the deadly accident Wednesday afternoon.

ALEA does not release as many details about wrecks involving juvenile drivers, but King said the accident took place on Clements Road in eastern Tuscaloosa County Tuesday around 5:30.

He said a 14-year-old from Cottondale was driving a 2004 Chevrolet SSR that left the road and overturned.

Another 14-year-old from Vance in the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The 14-year-old who was driving was injured and taken to an area hospital.

King said the wreck took place around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
