Teenager Killed in Accident on Airport Road in Northport

An 18-year-old man was killed traffic accident near Van De Graaff Park early Saturday morning.

Keith Carpenter, Assistant Chief of the Northport Police Department, tells the Tuscaloosa Thread that the Northport Police Department received a call of a single-vehicle accident on Airport Road in Northport at 3:06 a.m. First responders arrived at the scene to discover the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

Three of the four passengers in the vehicle were injured in the wreck, and the 18-year-old male, whose identity has not been released, was killed.
