Northport Man Charged with Alabama One Credit Union Robbery

The Northport Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a local bank robbery.

Alabama One Credit Union, located on McFarland Boulevard in Northport, was robbed at approximately 2:49 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020. A manhunt for the suspect began immediately, and with the help of the U.S. Marshall Task force, the suspect has been captured.

According to a release from the Northport Police Department, 42-year-old Michael Kelvin Thomas has been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.

Thomas was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
