Alabama Softball has been named the 2022 SEC preseason favorite for the third consecutive season following the release of the SEC coaches poll on Monday.
The Alabama Crimson Tide softball team (34-7) defeated the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (20-21) 6-3 tonight in Rhoads Stadium. The win puts the recent Florida series officially in the rearview mirror and gives Alabama momentum as the team prepares to close the SEC regular season.
An eight-run fourth inning propelled the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team to a series sweep of the Texas A&M Aggies. The Crimson Tide went on to run-rule the Aggies by a score of 14-6 in six innings. Alabama improves its record to 29-4, 9-3 in SEC play and the loss drops the Aggies to 25-8, 4-5 in SEC play.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (15-0) dominated from the circle tonight to defeat Mississippi State (8-5) 4-0. Alabama was carried by star pitcher, junior Montana Fouts. Fouts set a career-high in strikeouts tonight, mowing down 16 Bulldog batters on her way to her seventh win of the season.
