Hundreds gathered along Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa Monday night to watch 45th Annual West Alabama Christmas Parade.

This year's parade was themed around "Super Heroes Celebrate Christmas," and saw many masked marchers and caped crusaders comprising 103 participating floats, cars and trailers - nearly a record according to speaker Probate Judge Rob Robertson.

"We missed a couple years due to complications, and COVID," Robertson said ahead of the annual tree lighting ceremony in front of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse. "This year has a fulls tree lighting, a full parade. It feels like Christmas."

Ahead of the parade were two medleys of Christmas music from the Alabama Blues Project Instructor Band, and the Westwood Elementary School Singers.
