Man Shot at Shell on Tuscaloosa’s Skyland Boulevard in Week’s 3rd Shooting
A man was injured early Friday morning during the third "minor" shooting in the city this week.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said a man was shot in the leg at the Shell service station of Skyland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa before dawn Friday morning.
Sellers said the VCU does not believe the wound is life-threatening, and no one has yet been taken into custody in response to the shooting.
The gunplay follows a Monday shooting at a west Tuscaloosa apartment complex which injured a juvenile girl and a Wednesday dispute near Freeman Park which ended with a man shot in his hand.
Sellers said the VCU continues to investigate the Friday morning shooting on Skyland and said additional details may be released later.
