Police officers work day and night to protect our communities, and that includes officers with four legs. K-9 officers and their handlers/partners often become very close on and off duty. Recently, a Pickens County deputy showed the strength of the bond that exists between them.

Authorities are trying to locate two different drivers from separate incidents involving a police chase. The two police chases happened within a half hour of each other and both involved Exit 76 off Interstate 20/59. Tuscaloosa Police say that both of these vehicle pursuits were stopped by officers who felt that the public would be at risk if the pursuits continued.

Another family in our area desperate for news on their missing loved one is hoping for a breakthrough from Tuscaloosa Police investigators tonight. The woman is 44 years old and was last seen outside the Alcoholics Anonymous building.
