Tuscaloosa movie fans will have a chance to laugh, quote their favorite lines and enjoy an Eddie Murphy classic together at the Historic Bama Theatre.

The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will present “Coming to America” as part of its Bama Art House film series in downtown Tuscaloosa tonight at 7:00p.

“This movie is an opportunity for the community to have fun together,” Nicholas Finch with Bama Art House said. “There’s nothing like the experience of quoting a fun movie with a room full of people. It’ll be a family-like movie event.”

Finch said the Bama Theatre aims to create a welcoming space where moviegoers can fully enjoy and express themselves during familiar films.

“The BAMA is a safe space for expression when it comes to enjoying these movies like ‘Coming to America,’ which was chosen because it’s a classic Eddie Murphy with a proven track record of enjoyment,” Finch said.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors ages 65 and older and $8 for Arts Council members.

Movie lovers can also purchase a $70 Bama Art House season pass, which includes admission to 10 films and does not expire.

The film is presented by The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa at the Historic Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa.
