Alabama Wide Receiver Lotzeir Brooks Involved in Car Accident
Over the weekend, Alabama wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks was involved in a car accident, as reported by multiple outlets. The upcoming sophomore posted a picture on his Instagram story in a neck brace with the caption, "God is great." The post has since been deleted, but not before multiple screenshots were taken and posted to social media. The now-deleted post can be seen below.

Brett Greenberg of Bama247 was the first to report on the accident, which took place on Sunday. The neck brace in the image is being used as a "precaution", according to Greenberg's report.
The upcoming sophomore wide receiver burst onto the scene for Alabama as a true freshman last year for the Crimson Tide. The 5-foot-9, 191-pound receiver from Millville, New Jersey, caught 32 receptions for Alabama last season for 441 yards (averaging 13.8 yards per reception) and two touchdowns. Both of Brooks' touchdowns last season came in the Crimson Tide's 34-24 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the first round of the College Football Playoff on December 19.
He's expected to be a major piece of Kalen DeBoer's offense next season, likely stepping into a starting role in his second year at Alabama. The Crimson Tide lost veteran wide receiver Germie Bernard to the NFL draft and Isaiah Horton to the transfer portal. Brooks is one of five returning wide receivers to Alabama from the 2025 roster, joined by Ryan Williams, Rico Scott, Derek Meadows, and MJ Chirgwin.
