Former Alabama shortstop Jim Jarvis has been drafted as the No. 320 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers.

The San Diego, Calif., native spent four seasons at the Capstone (2020-23). Last season, he recorded 68 hits, 65 runs, 33 walks, 30 runs batted in, ten doubles, nine stolen bases, six home runs, four triples, and a .273 batting average.

Jarvis was also a 2023 Gold Glove winner for his performance last season.

Jarvis is the fifth Alabama baseball alumnus to be drafted this year, joining center fielder Caden Rose, pitchers Hunter Furtado and Grayson Hitt, and right fielder Andrew Pinckney.
