The lanes on U.S. 11 in Greene County are blocked due to a fallen tree as a result of severe overnight storms that impacted West Alabama.

According to a release from Corporal Reginal King with the Troopers Office in West Alabama, the lanes near mile marker 46 will be blocked for an undetermined amount of time.

The Alabama Department of Transportation are currently on scene assisting with traffic control. Motorists should use caution while traveling in the area and consider alternative routes.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to monitor the situation.
