On October 7, the No. 12-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide travels to Kyle Field for an SEC West matchup against the Texas A&M Aggies. It'll on CBS at 2:30 p.m. CST.

The last time Alabama played Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m. was back in 2019 when Tua Tagovailoa led a top-five offense to a 49-28 victory.

Unfortunately for the Aggies, the game is not at night. In 2021's evening game, the unranked Aggies beat second-ranked Alabama on a game-winning field goal.

Even though Texas A&M has not historically been a rival to Alabama, the arrival of the Aggies into the SEC in 2012 has made the two teams not too fond of each other. Overall, Alabama is 12-3 all-time against A&M and 9-2 since the Aggies moved to the SEC.

The record does not show the entire story, though.

Whenever the Crimson Tide and the Aggies play, it's one of the best games all weekend. Last season, Texas A&M was three yards short of defeating Alabama inside Bryant Denny Stadium for the first time since 2012.

This year, Jimbo Fisher looks to become the first-ever former assistant to beat Nick Saban twice in his career. Even though the Aggies are unranked, Alabama should not take this team lightly. Under new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, the Aggies have a top-30 offense so far this year, led by sophomore quarterback Connor Weigman.

Can Alabama survive Kyle Field on October 7 and keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive? Or will the Aggies spoil another Alabama season?
