
Plea Deal In Bibb County Child Sex Abuse Case Approved
A Bibb County judge has signed off on a plea deal in one of the Brent child sexual abuse cases that has gained national attention. Rebecca Brewer, one of the eight defendents in the case involving the drugging, rape and sexual torture of children as young as three took the plea deal on June 11th according to court documents.

A judge has now signed off on the agreement in which says Brewer agreed to plead guilty to nine counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count of sexual torture. Under the deal she reportedly has agreed to provide testimony and cooperate with prosecutors in the trial of the other seven defendents.
Prosecuters in the case reportedly agreed to seal information about plea agreement in light of threats made against Brewer by other defendents.
The other defendents in the case are William Chase McElroy, Daton Terrell, Andres Trejo-Velazquez, Timothy St. John, Sara Louise Terrell, Ricky Cecil Terrell and Olivia Shailee Elam.
One of Brewer's co-defendents, William Chase McElroy, has asked for a continuence of his scheduled June 22nd trial due to further discovery being obtained in the case. McElroy has also been notified by federal federal prosecutors that he is also the subject of a federal investigation into the state charges leveled against him.
