The Crimson Tide shut out the Tigers 34-0 in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Oct. 26, 2024. The shutout victory was the first time the Crimson Tide had ever pulled off the accomplishment against the Tigers.

Missouri is ranked fourth in the SEC, with a 1-0 record in SEC play, and a 5-0 record to the start of the season for the first time since the 2012 season.

Alabama is ranked third in the SEC, with a 2-0 record in SEC play, and a 4-1 overall record. Alabama's most notable wins came against then-No. 5 Georgia in Week 5, and then-No.16 Vanderbilt in Week 6.

Coaches:

DeBoer is in his second season as Alabama's head coach. He had a 9-4 record in his first season and a 5-3 record in SEC play. His most notable accomplishment is beating Georgia at home in 2024 and on the road in 2025. DeBoer went 2-5 on the road in the 2024 season, and is 1-1 on the road so far this season.

Eliah Drinkwitz has been Missouri's head coach since December 2019, after coaching Appalachian State to a 12-1 record and a Sun Belt Conference Championship in 2019. Drinkwitz's SEC record through the 2024 season is 16-14 (a 0.533 winning percentage) over four seasons with the Tigers.
