Flipped Tractor Trailer Causing Delays on Tuscaloosa Interstate Wednesday

Traffic on Interstate-359 was slowed in Tuscaloosa Wednesday afternoon after a tractor trailer rolled on its side.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said the first calls about the accident came in around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Taylor said State Troopers, not TPD, are working to clear the roadway but by 4:30, only the right lane was blocked to traffic.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers, said the right northbound lane of the on-ramp between I-359 and I-20/59 will be closed as crews work to move the trailer.

Drivers should avoid the area if possible and expect some delays on I-359 around the wreck.
