Flash Flood Watch, Flood Warnings Issued for Parts of Alabama
There are some concerns about flooding in some of our listening areas. The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that “minor flooding will continue along portions of the Tombigbee, Coosa, and Black Warrior River Basins through this week.”
A Flash Flood Watch issued for some of the counties we cover until Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 7 pm. Here are all counties, so you have information to pass on to family and friends.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham reminds us all about the serious nature of flooding.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS
AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
There is also a Flood Warning for the areas:
Coosa River at Weiss Dam until further notice
Black Warrior River at Selden Lock and Dam until further notice
Sucarnoochee River at Livingston until 10:09 pm
Tombigbee River at Demopolis Lock and Dam until further notice
Tombigbee River at Bevill Lock and Dam until April 2nd at 3:15 pm
