Ella Jean Miksis, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on February 22, 2024, at her residence.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Terrell Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Carolwood Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Lillie Oswalt; brother, Truman Oswalt; and sister, Emma Dean Mc Carter.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Miksis; daughter, Belinda Rozan (Wayne); sons, Gary Bigham (Donna), Glen Bigham (Betty), and Jim Miksis (Jennifer); grandchildren, Greg Farley, Jr., Jen Lake, (Jamie), Jason Farley (Lori), Chrissy Meyer (Rick), Wesley Bigham, Wayne Bigham (Nicci), and Lily Miksis; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Jordan (Deeka), Breanna Farley, Caleb Farley, Alex Meyer, Melanie Meyer, Hayden Bigham, Sam Bigham, and Carly Bigham.

Ella Jean Miksis loved her family and wanted to help herself and them feel connected to her past. One of her hobbies was tracing family genealogy. Another thing that she liked to do was quilting. She also loved to travel and see new places.

Pallbearers will be Jason Farley, Caleb Farley, Wesley Bigham, Hayden Bigham, Wayne Bigham, and Sam Bigham.

Honorary pallbearer: Greg Farley, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
