Brenda Smith Englebert, age 77 of Demopolis passed away February 6, 2022 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.

A 10:30 am Graveside service will be held at Williamson Cemetery with Rev. Todd Burkhalter officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Leon L. and Eloise G. Smith and her sister-in-law; Marge Smith.

Brenda is survived by her husband Larry F. Englebert of Demopolis, daughters; Cathy Roberts (Andy), Christi Langford (Al), Carol Velez, son; Cary Wilson (Trudy), brothers; Don Smith, Ray Smith (Sherri), grandchildren; Joshua Wilson (Lindee), Kayla Pierce, Nicole Majewski (Jeremy), Erin Roberts, Ella Roberts, Will Langford (Shayenne), CarolAnn Langford, Ross Langford, Audra Langford, Shannon Langford, Sam Velez, Christian Velez, Brittany Bliss and 11 great grandchildren.

Brenda was born and raised in Northport, Alabama. She graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School and the University of Alabama where she received a masters degree in Archeology and Anthropology. She retired from the U.S Army Corp of Engineers as a Park Ranger. She loved anything about history - especially family history and genealogy.

She was a member of many of Alabama county historic societies and was a major contributor to the historic record books for those counties. She also wrote and published a historical fiction children's book. Brenda was married to the love of her life, Larry Englebert for 38 years.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Erin Roberts, Ella Roberts, Will Langford, Ross Langford, CarolAnn Langford, Audra Langford and Sam Velez.
