BREAKING: One Dead in Apparent “Accidental” Shooting in Tuscaloosa
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is on the scene of a shooting in Tuscaloosa that left one man dead Tuesday.

Captain Marty Sellers, Co-Commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told members of the media Tuesday afternoon that the shooting occurred in the 3300 block of 6th Street.
He said at this time, the shooting appears to be accidental.
The VCU is made up of detectives from TPD, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the Northport Police Department and the University of Alabama Police Department. They investigate all unnatural deaths, homicides and most sex crimes in Tuscaloosa County.
