On Saturday evening, cornerback Khyree Jackson from East Mississippi Community College announced that he would continue his playing career in Tuscaloosa with Nick Saban. Jackson had narrowed his list down to Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon prior to his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

According to 247Sports, Jackson is a 6-foot-3, 197 pounder listed as a three star commit. The Maryland-native is named as the No. 1 junior college cornerback in the United States wile being listed as the No. 3 JUCO recruit overall.

Khyree Jackson was the No. 7 recruit in the state while playing as both a defensive back and wide receiver for Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Jackson would help the WHS Pumas win the Maryland 4A Football State Championship prior to graduating in 2017. With little attention, he took his talents to Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. After his sophomore season, however, he leave Kansas for the NJCAA National Champions at EMCC in Scooba, Mississippi.

With this addition, Alabama now has three 2021 commits for the defensive backs group. While currently in second nationally, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have the No. 1 recruiting class in the SEC for 2021.

The early signing period for NCAA Division I football begins December 16, 2020, and the official national signing day is set for February 3, 2021. Athletes able to graduate from high school a semester early may officially commit to schools during the early signing period as of 2017. This would allow them to immediately enroll for spring classes in their chosen school and participate at early team events.
