Khyree Jackson has finally set a commitment date.

The top junior college defensive back in the 2021 class, announced that he will be committing Saturday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.

On June 6th, he sent out a tweet with his top six teams, but that list has been shortened since then.  His finalists are Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon.

Jackson was originally planning on committing in late July, but he pushed it back because he wanted to take some extra time to make sure that he was making the right decision.

Jackson is listed at 6-foot-3, 197 pounds, and plays for East Mississippi Community College, in Scooba, Mississippi.

After watching the popular Netflix documentary "LastChanceU", you might be very familiar with the level of success and high caliber players that come out of EMCC.

247Sports has him listed as the #3 overall JUCO player in the country, and tied for the #1 cornerback spot with De'Jahn Warren, who is committed to Penn State.

Both players are from the state of Maryland and played in the same high-school football conference, only 30 minutes from one another. Warren played at Suitland high-school in Hyattsville, and Jackson played at Wise high-school in Upper Marlboro.

In a recent interview with BamaOnline, Jackson had a lot to say about Alabama's recruitment tactics.

“Coach Roach and Coach Scott are very persistent, they seem like they’re pretty genuine. They understand the business of recruiting. They don’t like blow up my phone and stuff like that. They contact me when it’s meaningful and we talk about things, stuff like that.”
