The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is free to attend. In addition to the fundraising activities, guests can enjoy live music performed by local singer/songwriter Matt Jones.
Visitors can contribute to the organization in multiple ways, but primarily through the "Buy It Now" board. This board will feature gift cards from a variety of local businesses including Royal Cleaners, Avenue Pub, Hoo's Q, Chuck's Fish and several more.
Guests can claim these gift cards at a discounted value on a first-come, first-served basis.
As Franny Jones, the event coordinator says, "If there's a $25 gift card for a local business, you could claim it for a price closer to $20 and save some money."
Additionally, locals will be able to support Big Brothers Big Sisters by donating directly or purchasing alcohol at the Lookout Rooftop Bar, which will see 10% of sales go to the nonprofit.
Jones is open in her appreciation for the vendors, the venue and the community.
"Everyone's welcome, and this is a great way to learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters."
All funds raised will support the operational costs of the local office and help provide items for the bigs and littles. More information about Big Brothers Big Sisters in West Alabama can be found on the organization website.
