Betty Jean Webster Hardin

April 25,1932 - February 24, 2021

Betty Jean Webster Hardin, age 88 of Northport, Alabama passed away on February 24, 2021. Services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Magnolia Chapel North with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Buddy Bell will be officiating. Magnolia Chapel North will be directing.

Hardin is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Bernice Webster; her loving husband of 50 years, Millard Hardin; sister, Dorothy (Dot) Black and granddaughter, Mary Courtney Hardin.

She is survived by her sons, David Hardin, Brion Hardin (Donna), and John Dean Hardin; her sister, Josephine Booth; her brother, Jimmy Webster; grandchildren, Jennifer Hardwick (Jonathan), Kyle Hardin (Devin), Braxton Hardin, Lindsey Hardin, Brandy Shaw (Jeremy), John Phillip Hardin; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hardin was born in Fayette, Alabama in 1932. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1950. She married Millard Hardin, the love of her life, in 1952. She had 3 sons that she adored. She retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company after 35 years of service. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also an active member of the Republican Women of Tuscaloosa County. Betty loved antiques, genealogy, piano and painting.

Pallbearers will be Braxton Hardin, Kyle Hardin, Phillip Hardin, Jonathan Hardwick, Jeremy Shaw and Larry Chestnut.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hayes Boyd's Sunday school class at First Baptist Church, the Republican Women of Alabama and Tuscaloosa County, members and friends of First Baptist Church and the University Church of Christ.
